Opening
Once the Congress officially opened its doors during the opening ceremony at the Congress Centre, the authorities moved to the Exhibition Hall accompanied by the Pubilles (female folklore figures) representing the parish of Escaldes Engordany.
Toni Martí, Head of Government of the Principality of Andorra; Jordi Alcobé, Minister of Economy and Territorial Planning; Maria Rosa Ferrer, Consul Major of Andorra la Vella; and Oscar de Buen, President of the World Road Association, were responsible for cutting the tape at the entrance to the exhibition space, symbolising the official opening of the exhibition.
They then toured the site to meet each of the exhibitors, starting at the national pavilion of the host country, Andorra, followed by the National Committee of France, Spain's Development Ministry, the Government of Canada-Quebec, the Japan Road Association, the National Committee of Poland, the Nordic Road Association, and lastly the National Committees of Switzerland, Italy and South Korea, as well as the World Road Association itself. Subsequently, they greeted more than 45 exhibiting companies and completed their visit at the machinery exhibition space.
After the inauguration, the exhibition opened its doors to industry professionals and congress members, offering them the opportunity to network, exchange ideas and make contacts with companies associated with the winter roads sector.
