Three years after the XXIVth World Road Congress took place in Mexico in 2011, Andorra decided to invite the world to experience winter road safety on its grounds.
The International Winter Road Congress was held for the first time ever in the Pyrenees between the 4th and 7th of February 2014. Andorra actually hosted the 14th edition of this gathering for winter specialists under the slogan “winter roads in times of financial hardship”, attracting around 1,500 congress members from 47 countries.
The Congress was organized by the Principality of Andorra’s Ministry of Economy and Territory, which was responsible for all organizational aspects, together with the World Road Association, in charge of the Congress’s content.
